| Grace Southgate's Renovation
|
In 2011 Grace Church began an ambitious renovation of our worship space and
building. Here's what we've done through September of 2011:
The new LED lighting is for all purposes complete. with the exception of several
extensions that needed to be added. All the lights are dimmable and rather
than having 5 banks of lights we now have 3 with an option of 4 (we can add one above the choir space).
The new altar platform and handicap ramp is complete. The drywall is hung, mudded, sanded, and painted.
The carpeting was installed and the pews went back in. The front windows, side and front glass along
with new doors for the sacristy, sanctuary, and double rear doors are in. Arrangements were made to
reupholster the pews. An outside duct cleaning contractor was brought in and cleaned the ducts/furnaces
for the sanctuary space to improve air flow quality.
